Purpose & Vision

Dominion Equippers is a community of Christian home school families endeavoring to practically
incorporate spiritual equipping into academic pursuits and life skills.  The academic emphasis of
Dominion Equippers’ Classes (DEC) is to see every subject summed up in Christ.  Educational
pursuits, especially, should be fruit from the Tree of Life and not from the Tree of Knowledge of
Good and Evil.

The community aspect facilitates families networking by using their gifts to serve one another.
The community dynamic of partnering with other home school families for classes enhances the
home school experience.
Dominion Equippers does not discriminate
on the basis of race, color, national and ethnic origin
in administration of its policies and programs.

General Information

Dominion Equippers is a Christian home school community.  Parental authority and responsibility are a key part of partnering with families to
equip our children and youth.  Homework is assigned for non class days at home.  Parental involvement and oversight at home is vital for this
model of education to work well.

Classes are offered for all ages at one location.  Dominion Equippers currently has over 200 families participating with 370 students taking
classes.  Sixty percent of the students are 7th – 12th graders.  Classes are offered for PreK through 12 grade.

First Baptist Church of Fort Worth hosts Dominion Equippers’ classes.  FBCFW is located at the NE corner of N. Loop 820 and Haltom
Road.  Classes are held in the educational building.  Classes meet on Mondays and Wednesdays with homework being done at home on the
other days.  Elementary classes are offered at 9:00, 10;00, 11:00, 12:30, 1:30 and 2:30 with the Elementary lunch being from 12:00 – 12:30.
Upper level classes for 7th – 12th graders are offered at 9:00, 10:30, 11:30, 1:00, 2:00 and 3:00 with lunch from 12:30 – 1:00.  Students can take
as many or as few classes as desired.  Each class is registered for individually.

Complete costs include tuition, supply fees/class and a one time per family Membership Fee.  Class costs are $5/class hour except for 7th
– 12th grade math and science classes which are $7/class hour.  This equates to $60 per 12 week semester for one day/week classes and
$120 for the 12 week semester for the 2 day/week classes.  The upper level science and math classes meet twice a week and equate to $168
per semester.  The once a year Family Membership Fee is $50.  Supply fees cover specific items needed for each class, such as experiment
supplies, and are listed in the Class Description for each class.

Each spring requests are received for more information as well as many questions about who we are and what we do, etc.  In an effort to
serve those seeking information about Dominion Equippers in a more efficient manner, Informational Meetings will be held once a month during
the summer.  The dates of the Informational Meetings are  June 6, July 11 and August 1 at 7:00 p.m each evening.  Children are welcome to
attend.  Topics to be covered will include DE’s structure, parent & student requirements, course load, homework, registration and discipline.
Advanced notice is requested to know how many to prepare for each month.   New families should attend one of the informational meetings!
Email for directions. .

Enough sections of upper level math, science and History classes have been added to accommodate new families, but many electives still
fill quickly.  Expanding sections of classes depends on teacher availability as well as classroom space.  There are several hours on both
Monday and Wednesday when we have maxed out our available room space.

DE endeavors to keep costs low since the majority of home school families sacrifice greatly to educate their children and youth by often
choosing to live on one income.  One of the ways that DE keeps costs low is by not having an office staff.  Therefore, there is not a DE phone
number.  Directors’ return calls related to specific questions, but email communication is preferred due to time limitations.  If you have follow up
questions not answered on the website, please email your questions.  Be sure to include a contact number if you are requesting a phone call.
Specifying the nature of your questions ahead of time will aid in planning how much time will be needed when the call is returned.  Attending an
Informational Meeting is the best way to have the majority of questions fielded at once.
